The military explained why Ukrainian women should be prepared for defense.
The head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Tymoсhko, stated that Ukrainian women should be ready for defense, despite the fact that they are not subject to compulsory military service. He suggested preparing women and training them, as this does not imply an automatic draft. According to him, the more people ready and trained for defense, the less motivation there is for Russia to fight and attack Ukraine. Tymoсhko also emphasized the need to have action plans in case of the worst situation, to minimize risks.
