Legal Experts Clarify: Medical Exams for Military Service Must Be Conducted at Assigned Recruitment Centers.
Where to Undergo the Military Medical Examination
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian citizens are required to undergo the military medical examination (VLC) exclusively at the territorial recruitment center (TRC) where they are officially registered for military service, regardless of their actual place of residence. Legal experts confirm this rule and stress the critical importance of adhering to it.
An individual liable for military service has the right to undergo the VLC only at the specific TRC where their military registration is held. Lawyer Vladyslav Derii emphasized this point, stating,
"A citizen must undergo the VLC at the location of their military registration, irrespective of their actual place of residence."
The Imperative of Following Procedure
Consequently, a change in a person's residential address does not alter the designated location for the examination. Attorney Yurii Aivazian further clarified that a citizen can only receive a referral for the VLC from the TRC where they are registered. This system is a standard part of military administration in many countries, designed to maintain clear records. If a person wishes to undergo the examination in a different locality, they must first register for military service at the local TRC in that area.
"If a citizen wants to undergo the VLC in another locality, they need to register for military service at the local TRC,"
Aivazian explained.
Therefore, compliance with these regulations is mandatory for all citizens with military obligations to prevent misunderstandings and complications during the medical examination process.
This information is crucial for those liable for service, as strict adherence to VLC procedures can prevent delays or further complications. During wartime, when mobilization and military service are of paramount importance, it is vital for citizens to understand their rights and duties. Failure to follow the correct procedures can lead to legal consequences or difficulties in fulfilling service requirements.
