Military Registration Process Gets an Overhaul

According to Novyny.live: Men liable for military service in Ukraine can now update their place of residence without needing to visit their previous enlistment office (TCC). The deregistration from military rolls happens automatically once they register at a new address, streamlining the entire procedure. This change cuts red tape for those required to report for duty.

Before finalizing a new residency registration, a conscript must first settle matters with the TCC. However, a key improvement is that a visit to the old office is no longer mandatory, thanks to the updated regulations. Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan explains that to register with a new TCC,

“You do not need to go to the TCC where you are currently registered.”

How the Updates Affect State Registration

The reforms also reshape how state registration works for those on military rolls. Because residency registration is tied to the TCC, local administrative service centers (TSNAPs) cannot process a citizen’s new address until they have registered with the appropriate new TCC. As Ayvazyan notes,

“To register your residence at a new address, you must first register with the new TCC, and only then go to the TSNAP.”

Additionally, conscripts can now book appointments with TCCs online, further simplifying the process. These rules enable citizens to handle military registration and residency changes more efficiently, saving both time and effort.

These updates are significant for Ukrainians who move to a new location, as they reduce bureaucratic hurdles and shorten the time needed for administrative tasks. Easier online access to TCCs may boost mobility for those subject to military service, a pressing need amid current challenges. The government’s adoption of these changes reflects its effort to adapt military registration and residency procedures to better serve citizens.
