Ukraine, together with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, has concluded a modernized free trade agreement (FTA). This means that Ukrainian producers will be able to export their products to these countries without tariffs or at reduced rates. Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that this is very important for Ukrainian enterprises at this difficult time. In addition, the modernized agreement will create a solid foundation for further economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EFTA countries. The free trade agreement between Ukraine and EFTA was signed in 2010. The modernized agreement will contribute to Ukraine's economic growth, strengthen ties between countries, and benefit economic operators in various sectors. The new agreement offers better access to EFTA markets, abolishes tariffs on industrial goods, and significantly reduces them on agricultural products. The agreement also includes sections on e-commerce, cooperation with small and medium enterprises, and sustainable development. Ukraine can count on the development of economic ties with EFTA countries thanks to this agreement.
