Vinnytsia residents received an additional payment for hot water: what they have to pay for.

Residents of Vinnytsia have received a new payment for 'Heat energy losses in the hot water supply system' since December 2024. This was reported by the municipal enterprise 'Vinnytsiamiskteploenergo'.
These costs arise due to heat losses that occur during the circulation of hot water in internal pipelines. Previously, these losses were not accounted for in residents' utility bills until December 1, 2024.
Principle of Calculation
- In houses with heat energy meters for hot water supply services, the volume of heat energy for the operation of internal systems will be determined as the difference between the readings of the heat energy accounting unit and the amount of energy consumed for preparing hot water used by residents.
- In houses without heat energy meters, the amount of heat losses will be calculated simply. It will be 20% of the total amount of heat energy spent on preparing hot water consumed by the house.
The distribution of costs for heat energy necessary for the operation of the hot water supply system will be made among all co-owners of premises in the building. This will apply to both residential and non-residential premises, regardless of the volume of hot water consumption. The amount will be distributed proportionally to the area of heated premises in each accounting period, both during the heating and the inter-heating periods.
It should be reminded that the executive committee of the Vinnytsia City Council increased the cost of travel in electric transport by 50% - to 12 UAH per trip, and in city buses - by 25%, to 15 UAH.
