Payments for IDPs from October 1: who needs to write a new application for funds.
Payments for the most vulnerable categories of internally displaced persons will be extended automatically
In October 2024, payments for the most vulnerable categories of internally displaced persons will be extended automatically, without the need to submit new applications. Other IDPs need to contact social protection agencies for the extension or assignment of aid.
For IDPs who belong to the most vulnerable categories, payments will be extended automatically without the need to submit a new application. These categories include:
- pensioners whose pension does not exceed 9,444 hryvnias;
- persons with disabilities of group I or II, children with disabilities under 18 years old, as well as severely ill children;
- orphans and children deprived of parental care under the age of 23, foster parents, and adoptive parents.
Payments for these groups will remain unchanged: 3,000 hryvnias for persons with disabilities and children, 2,000 hryvnias for other categories. Funds will be transferred on the 15th and 28th of each month.
Other categories of IDPs need to submit an application for the extension or assignment of aid. This applies to the following groups:
- families with children under 14 years old living in combat zones or in conditionally safe regions where children cannot attend offline classes;
- families where one of the members takes care of a person with a disability or a severely ill child;
- children under 14 years old who arrived without parental accompaniment (upon the application of a person with family ties);
- pregnant women from the 30th week of pregnancy.
It is important to note that in August 2024, the six-month payment period for many IDPs ended. This means that some IDPs might have lost financial support, and now they need to contact social protection agencies to submit an application for the extension of aid.
In addition to the main categories, the possibility of extending payments also applies to IDPs who have reached the age of 60 but do not have the right to a pension. Provided that their total average monthly income per person does not exceed 9,444 hryvnias, such individuals can apply for aid regardless of the date of their displacement.
If the automatic extension of payments did not occur due to technical reasons, IDPs can contact the Administrative Service Center (CNAP). They can also contact local social protection agencies to resolve the issue.
During the receipt of aid, IDPs should be aware that in some cases the state may demand the return of funds. This applies to situations where the provided aid is used for purposes not intended or if it turns out that the applicant lost the right to payments but continued receiving them.
