President of Poland Invites Zelensky to Warsaw: What the Side Insists On.
According to ТСН: The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, expressed hope for the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Warsaw, emphasizing the importance of 'symmetry in relations between Poland and Ukraine.'
Head of the Office, Zbigniew Bogucki, emphasized that the President of the Republic of Poland is awaiting Zelensky's arrival for discussions on current issues in bilateral relations. He also noted that Poland deserves gratitude from Ukraine for the great support provided by the Polish state and its citizens after the onset of Russian aggression.
Poland Demands Symmetry in Relations
Bogucki quoted President Nawrocki:
'I consistently demand symmetry in relations between Poland and Ukraine'. He emphasized that, considering the significant efforts of the Polish people in the area of military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Poland remains a reliable strategic support for Ukraine.
Nawrocki hopes that
'President Volodymyr Zelensky will respect the efforts of the Poles, will be open to certain proposals from the Polish state, and will express gratitude to Polish soldiers, Polish citizens, and the Polish state within the framework of strategic support for Ukraine'.
Poland Fulfills Its Obligations
Bogucki also noted that support for Ukraine remains the foundation that
'fundamentally unites Poland and Ukraine'. He emphasized that Poland fully adheres to its allied obligations.
What Preceded
It is known that the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, noted that demanding honors from Ukraine during the war is inappropriate, yet President Zelensky could invite to visit the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.
It should be noted that the President of Poland Karol Nawrocki stated that he expects more gratitude from Ukraine and an equitable approach in bilateral relations, inviting Volodymyr Zelensky for an official visit to the Polish capital.
This situation highlights the importance of support and mutual understanding between neighboring states in wartime. Poland actively supports Ukraine, and now the Ukrainian side should consider the efforts of Warsaw to continue strengthening bilateral relations and joint security in the region.
