Drones attacked the Volgograd region: there are damages to the railway substation.
Explosions in the Volgograd Region
According to inkorr.com: On the night of August 28, explosions were heard in the town of Petrov Val in the Volgograd region. Witnesses report that drones attacked the railway substation. A fire broke out at the scene after the attack.
Strikes on Oil Refineries
Recently, units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with other branches of the Armed Forces, struck an oil refinery in the Samara region. In addition, drones have already attacked oil refining enterprises in the Rostov and Bryansk regions, as well as in Volgograd.
These attacks could significantly impact Russia's financial revenues from oil sales. Although sanctions are already driving down prices for this resource, new strikes could further deplete the country's economic reserves.
Recent events indicate an escalation of the conflict and the adaptation of the Ukrainian military to new tactical challenges. Attacks on critical infrastructure could significantly affect Russia's economic stability, which, in turn, could influence the further development of the situation in the region.
