Russia attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi with drones: what is known about the consequences.
Attack on Novhorod-Siverskyi
According to ТСН: On the night of December 22-23, Russian troops attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi, located on the border of the Chernihiv region, using strike drones.
This event was reported by the head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, Oleksandr Seliverstov, on his Facebook page.
At 02:00, the enemy launched several UAVs of the "Gerbera" type, which damaged the city's civilian infrastructure. Information about the consequences is currently being clarified.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), as a result of the shelling, private residential houses, critical infrastructure facilities, and other civilian structures in Novhorod-Siverskyi and Pryluky districts were damaged.
"At certain locations, firefighting continues. The work is complicated by constant air alerts. According to preliminary information, there are currently no casualties," the SES added.
Furthermore, the Russian army launched a massive attack on the territory of Ukraine on the morning of December 23, using strike drones and missiles of various types. The main targets of the enemy strikes were the country's energy sector, and emergency power outages were introduced in several regions.
This situation indicates ongoing threats to the civilian population and infrastructure of Ukraine amid military aggression. The operations of the Russian army again threaten not only security but also the stability of the country's energy system, raising additional concerns among Ukrainians.
