Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region achieved success in battles near Korenevo. Russian troops are actively advancing in three regions along the contact line. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) published a report and a map of military operations in Ukraine.
AFU Operation in Russia
On October 6 and 7, Ukrainian troops continued to assault the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region, but enemy advancement was not recorded.
The AFU recently advanced within the main "Ukrainian bridgehead" in the Kursk region. Geolocated footage from October 6 showed that Ukrainian forces advanced south of Obukhovka, south of Korenevo.
According to the data, the AFU attacked in the areas of Obukhovka, Kremyanoe, Lyubimovka, Plekhovo, and Kamyshevka on October 6 and 7.
At this Time, Russian forces also attacked near Uspenivka and Kremyanoe.
Eastern Ukraine. Operation №1 - Kharkiv region
Russian troops broke through in the north of the Kharkiv region. They captured the central part of Vovchansk. Such information is presented in the analysts' report.
The occupiers are constantly advancing near Vovchansk, Tyhyi, and Starytsia.
According to the spokesperson of the Kharkiv group of troops of the AFU, the Russians are shelling Vovchansk and attacking with large forces. The enemy has intensified the actions of tactical aviation and drones.
Operation №2 - Luhansk region
Russian troops continue their offensive along the Kupiansk - Svatove - Kreminna line west of Svatove. The occupiers captured Myasozharivka.
Information that the Russians advanced east of Kolisnykivka and Kruhljakivka is not confirmed.
Russian terrorists continue to attack many settlements in the region.
Operation №3 - Donetsk region
Russian troops are storming northeast of Siversk in the area of Bilohorivka. Ukrainian forces are acting against them.
The spokesperson of the Luhansk group of forces stated that the occupiers are conducting combat operations in the Siversk direction.
Ukrainian troops are also responding to attacks near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, and Stupochky.
"Southern Axis"
According to ISW, Russian troops resumed operational actions on the southern front line in the area of Zaporizhzhia region after a prolonged period of calm.
Russian forces have made slight advances near Kamianske and Plavne on the eastern bank of the Kakhovka reservoir.
Russian bloggers claimed that Russian troops conducted a counterattack against the AFU near Kamianske.
Russian forces also advanced north of the Kakhovka reservoir. But ISW cannot confirm this information.
Experts note that the advance of Russian troops is tactical, and it is unclear how further developments will unfold in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the latest data, the Russian army has suffered significant losses in the war against Ukraine.
Russian troops continue to advance in the Kharkiv direction and along the entire front line. They are strengthening their positions near Hlyboke and building new fortifications to delay and continue their offensive.
