Increase in attacks from Russia
Recall that since mid-summer, the Russian Federation has begun to actively strike at Ukraine's railway infrastructure, using an average of six to seven 'Shahed' drones almost every night. These strikes have caused damage to many substations, linked to a sharp increase in the number of long-range drones produced by the Russian military-industrial complex.
The attacks are not limited to just military cargo.
Their primary goal is to instill panic among passengers, their secondary goal is to strike at the economy as a whole, noted the head of the board of 'Ukrzaliznytsia', Oleksandr Pertzovsky.
He added that Russian troops act systematically, damaging one substation after another or key railway nodes to stop the movement of passenger trains.
It is also worth mentioning that a recent enemy shelling in the Kirovohrad region led to delays in the movement of several trains.
In general, as a result of hostile attacks, several sections of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' were left without electricity, leading to delays in train movements. The Russian Federation continues to intensively strike at Ukraine's railway infrastructure, which hinders not only passenger movements but also harms the country's economy. The attacks aim to instill panic and cause harm to Ukraine as a whole.
