Charity Fund 'Right to Protection' Launches New Initiative
According to Novyny.live: Starting in 2026, the charitable organization 'Right to Protection' will begin accepting registrations for cash assistance from internally displaced persons (IDPs) and war-affected residents in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. This program aims to support vulnerable individuals who have faced hardships due to the ongoing military conflict. The initiative is part of broader efforts to address the needs of communities heavily impacted by the war in southern Ukraine.
Who Can Apply for the Cash Assistance?
Several primary groups are eligible for this financial support:
- Internally displaced persons,
- Citizens who have returned to Ukraine from abroad,
- Individuals returning to their previous places of residence.
Applicants must meet specific criteria:
- Not have been enrolled in any UNHCR program within the last three months,
- Not have received assistance from other organizations,
- Have a monthly income not exceeding 6,318 hryvnias per person.
The cash benefit amounts to nearly 11,000 hryvnias per family member over a three-month period. This can significantly ease the financial strain for those in difficult circumstances. Eligible categories include:
- Single-parent families,
- Households with elderly individuals living alone,
- Families with persons with disabilities.
To apply, individuals must submit an application in person at: Mykolaiv city, 54 V Myru Avenue, Building 2. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This schedule allows residents of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions to seek assistance at a convenient time.
Through this initiative, the 'Right to Protection' charity fund aims to support the most vulnerable groups affected by hostilities and help them restore stability in their lives.
This program could serve as a crucial lifeline for war-affected people, particularly in regions that have suffered the most from the conflict. Providing cash assistance will enable struggling families to improve their financial situation and cover basic needs. Given that the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions remain in a difficult situation, this initiative could have a significant impact on social stability in these areas.
