IDPs are required to register for military accounting within 7 days: what are the consequences for violations.
Responsibilities of Internally Displaced Persons
According to Novyny.live: Citizens who have received the status of an internally displaced person (IDP) after leaving occupied or frontline regions are required to register for military accounting at their new place of residence within 7 days. Failure to comply with this obligation may result in sanctions from the Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS).
The status of internally displaced persons (IDPs) appeared in Ukraine after the onset of the full-scale war. Citizens who registered as IDPs must adhere to wartime requirements and timely register at the local TCRSS. Yuriy Ayvazyan states:
'If you have registered as an IDP at your actual place of residence, you are required to register for military accounting at the local TCRSS within 7 days.' — Yuriy Ayvazyan
If the requirement for registration is ignored, the person may end up being wanted by the TCRSS. This may lead to the necessity of paying a fine or contesting such a search. Yuriy Ayvazyan comments:
'If you ignore this requirement, sooner or later you will find yourself wanted by the TCRSS, and you will have to either pay a fine or contest such a search.' — Yuriy Ayvazyan
The Importance of Complying with Rules
It is important to note that fulfilling obligations to the TCRSS is necessary for internally displaced persons and ensures compliance with Ukrainian legislation during wartime. Thus, all who have obtained IDP status should pay attention to registration deadlines and compliance with military accounting requirements.
According to new requirements, internally displaced persons must not only adapt to new living conditions but also fulfill military duties, highlighting the importance of adhering to state norms in times of conflict. This initiative aims to ensure national security and control over military accounting, which is a crucial aspect in wartime.
