The Ministry of Education has changed the admission rules for graduate school: what awaits applicants in 2024

According to inkorr.com: The Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oleg Sharov, noted that the admission campaign has become less favorable for draft evaders, which, in turn, has led to a decrease in their numbers in educational institutions. This change has significantly affected the overall statistics of students.

'The admission campaign has become maximally unfriendly to draft evaders, so these categories have decreased in educational institutions. This has also affected the overall statistics of students,' Sharov emphasized.

In 2024, new requirements for submitting documents to graduate school have been introduced for applicants: the possibility of admission only for full-time education based on state funding. In addition, applicants are required to take two additional exams - a general admission test and an exam in research methodology.

The expansion of budgetary places last year was aimed at attracting talented youth to scientific activities, and the new requirements for applicants are intended to complicate the process for those who are not interested in science.

Summary

As a result of these changes, the admission campaign has become less loyal to draft evaders, and the new restrictions and requirements for applicants are aimed at improving the qualifications of entrants and attracting capable youth to the scientific field. This has caused significant changes in the admission system of higher educational institutions, which are likely to impact the quality of education and research in Ukraine.
