The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine updated the information on the losses of Russian invaders as of January 16, 2025.
Russia's losses in the war as of January 16, 2025
As of January 16, Russia has lost:
- personnel - approximately 814150 (+1480) people,
- tanks - 9791 (+11) units,
- combat armored vehicles - 20368 (+20) units,
- artillery systems - 22015 (+40) units,
- MLRS - 1262 (+0) units,
- air defense systems - 1046 (+0) units,
- aircraft - 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters - 331 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical UAVs - 22503 (+120),
- cruise missiles - 3049 (+31),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0) units,
- submarines - 1 (+0) unit,
- automotive equipment and tank trucks - 34132 (+137) units,
- special equipment - 3697 (+1).
Activity of the invaders' fleet as of January 16
- In the Black Sea, enemy ships are absent;
- in the Azov Sea, enemy ships are absent;
- in the Mediterranean Sea, there are seven enemy ships, two of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles and can launch up to 22 missiles simultaneously.
During the day, under the interests of Russia, through the Kerch Strait passed:
- To the Black Sea - five vessels, four of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Azov Sea - four vessels, one of which continued from the Bosporus Strait.
The full-scale war in Ukraine has been ongoing for 1058 days.
