The Ukrainian General Staff reported updated losses of Russian occupiers as of the morning of October 8, 2024.

To date, Russia has lost as a result of the war with Ukraine:

• more than 662,970 (+1340) personnel,
• 8940 (+7) tanks,
• 17740 (+30) armored combat vehicles,
• 19203 (+47) artillery systems,
• 1223 (+0) MLRS,
• 973 (+1) air defense systems,
• 368 (+0) aircraft,
• 328 (+0) helicopters,
• 16686 (+43) UAVs of operational-tactical level,
• 2618 (+3) cruise missiles,
• 28 (+0) ships/boats,
• 1 (+0) submarine,
• 26185 (+83) vehicles and fuel tanks,
• 3373 (+9) pieces of special equipment.

Russian fleet activity as of October 8

• There are 16 enemy ships in the Black Sea, seven of which are carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles and can launch up to 48 missiles;
• No enemy ships in the Sea of Azov;
• There are two enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles and can launch up to four missiles.

During the day through the Kerch Strait:

• No vessels entered the Black Sea;
• Two vessels entered the Sea of Azov, moving from the Bosporus Strait.
