The next stage of negotiations will take place in the Vatican
According to The Wall Street Journal, the next negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are expected in the Vatican at the end of June. US President Donald Trump, during discussions with European leaders, noted that the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative Keith Kellogg would join them for the meeting in the Vatican.
'The meeting could take place as early as next week,' said Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
According to WSJ, during a phone call, some leaders emphasized the need for a ceasefire without any conditions, but Trump refused to use the term 'unconditional.' Ultimately, European partners abandoned this word during negotiations.
'Pope Leo XIV expressed his readiness to host the next stage of negotiations in the Vatican,' reported Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Thus, the governments of Poland and Hungary support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, which may contribute to resolving this complex situation.
