Financial Support for Veterans and People with Disabilities

According to Novyny.live: Starting July 1, veterans, combat participants, and individuals with war-related disabilities can apply for a 1,500 hryvnia sports benefit. Applications must be submitted through the Diia app between July 1 and July 20. This payment is designed to encourage physical activity among these groups.

To qualify, applicants must have their status recorded in the Unified State Register of War Veterans. Eligible individuals are those aged 18 and older who hold veteran status (male or female), combatant status, or a war-related disability. Requirements include a verified taxpayer identification number (RNOKPP) and an active Diia.Card issued by a partner bank of the program.

How the Funds Can Be Used

The funds can be spent on memberships or sessions at sports clubs and fitness centers. Notably, for veterans with disabilities, the one-time payment amount can range from 832,000 to 1,331,200 hryvnias, underscoring the government's commitment to supporting an active lifestyle for this population.

This initiative is part of broader state efforts to assist veterans and individuals affected by the war. Encouraging these groups to engage in physical activity can improve not only their physical health but also their social integration and overall quality of life. Ensuring the program is accessible and easy to understand for all potential recipients is key to maximizing its impact.
