Bring Kids Back UA Initiative Rescues 84 Children from Occupied Kherson Region: How It Works.
Children Rescued from Occupied Territories
According to Espreso.tv: Thanks to the 'Bring Kids Back UA' initiative, children aged 4 to 16 are being brought back from occupied areas of the Kherson region. Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that since the start of the year, 84 children have been successfully returned from temporarily occupied communities in Kherson. All of them are now safe on territory controlled by Ukraine.
These children go through a reintegration process at 'Hope and Recovery' centers, which provide essential support. The centers offer:
- psychological assistance,
- help with document restoration,
- shelter and other forms of care.
“The children range in age from 4 to 16,” said Oleksandr Prokudin, emphasizing the importance of this initiative.
He also thanked everyone involved in this work, highlighting the collective efforts to bring the children home.
International Tribunal
An international special tribunal is planning to hold Russian President Vladimir Putin and his inner circle accountable for actions that have caused suffering to Ukrainian children.
Returning children from occupied territories is a crucial step in their reintegration and psychological recovery after the trauma they have endured. The 'Bring Kids Back UA' initiative underscores the efforts of Ukrainian authorities and civil society to protect the rights of children affected by the conflict. A key part of this process is the support from international organizations, which are monitoring the situation and ready to help address the war's consequences.
