“Everyone loved him.”His father, Mykola, expressed his anguish, stating:
“The worst thing in my life is when parents have to bury their children.”A friend named Yuriy also voiced a lingering hope that Oleksii might have been captured: “We kept hoping he was a prisoner of war. Right up until the end.”
