Taras Kovryk was a soldier who defended Ukraine until his last breath during the ATO. He became an example of devotion to his homeland, sacrificing everything for the peace of his native land.
Life and Service
Taras Mykolayovych Kovryk was born on July 29, 1988, in Hliboka. He studied at the Chernivtsi Cooperative Technical College and later served in the police. In 2014, he decided to join the military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where, while performing combat missions in the ATO zone, he demonstrated courage and bravery.
Final Actions and Death
After serving in the army, Taras returned to the police, but in 2022 he again took up the defense of Ukraine. He died on February 18, 2023, during a mortar shelling, leaving behind a wife and a son.
Taras Kovryk was posthumously awarded the Honorary Distinction of the Chernivtsi Regional Council 'For Merits Before Bukovina' for his bravery and dedication to duty.
