Hero Stanislav Melnychuk: the life and heroism of a warrior from Bukovyna.

According to inkorr.com: Every day at 9 a.m. Ukrainians remember those whose lives were taken by the war between Ukraine and Russia. Today we honor the memory of Stanislav Melnychuk.

His heroic efforts in the fight for Ukraine tragically ended on October 29, 2022, near the village of Berestove in Donetsk region, as reported by the Chernivtsi Regional Council through 'Glavkom'.

Stanislav Myroslavovych Melnychuk was born on June 22, 1998, in Rukshyn. He was a support for his grandmother, who loved him very much. Neighbors remember him as a kind, sincere, and cheerful person with 'golden hands'.

“He was a good son, grandson, friend, and helper. Always smiling and determined, Stanislav loved football since childhood. He literally grew up in the stadium,” say his fellow villagers.

Stanislav studied at the Faculty of Economics of Chernivtsi National University and worked as a barista. He succeeded in his profession, participated in competitions, and cared for his grandmother, who was like a mother to him.

“With his salary, he bought household appliances for the kitchen to make her work easier. He said that in the future, he would set everything up and bring a young hostess into the house, making it easier for his grandmother. He was a very kind, capable, and decent young man,” said Valeriy Marynyak, the deputy head of Rukshyn village.

Stanislav dreamed of many things and planned a happy life. Together with his father, he was building a house, preparing it for the future.

“This house I prepared for him, he just didn’t have time to finish it himself. He knew how to lay tiles and learned carpentry from me. He never feared work... He went to fight voluntarily, telling me that he wouldn’t hide or avoid mobilization,” said the hero's father.

Mobilization and final days

On July 28, 2022, during mobilization, Stanislav Melnychuk was sent to the front. He served in the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, where he participated in combat actions near Bakhmut.

“After training, he got to the front line. In phone conversations, Stanislav said that the first two days at zero positions were very hard due to constant heavy enemy shelling. But he quickly got used to it, didn't complain,” recalls his friend Maxim. - I asked him: “How are you, brother?” He was in a fighting mood and assured me that everything would be fine. And he asked me not to tell his grandmother, so she wouldn't worry. She didn’t even know that Stas was already at the front.”

On October 29, 2022, while defending Ukraine, Stanislav Melnychuk was killed near the village of Berestove in Donetsk region. This loss caused incredible pain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Stanislav Melnychuk in his life at the faculty and at the front is an example of true heroism and dedication to Ukraine and his loved ones. His memory is honored along with everyone who became a victim of the war for our country.
