Founder of Mango Isaac Andic has died
The richest person in Catalonia, 71-year-old Isaac Andic, died in the mountains as a result of an accident. He was spending the day with family when he fell into a ravine near the Montserrat mountain caves, located near Barcelona. Isaac Andic slipped while hiking with his son and fell from a height of over 100 meters. This tragic incident occurred on December 14. His son called for help, but the arriving medics were unable to assist as Isaac Andic was already dead. This news was confirmed by El Pais and the official Mango page on social media X.
“Andic, the richest person in Catalonia, died after falling into a gorge near the road close to the Salnitre caves, which belong to the Montserrat mountain range. These caves were previously designated for nitre extraction,” the article states.
“With deep sadness, we announce the unexpected death of our non-executive chairman and founder of Mango, Isaac Andic, as a result of an accident that occurred this Saturday,” stated the company’s official page.
Mango also announced the closure of its stores in the Russian Federation since March 2022.
