According to ТСН: Rescuers successfully removed 78 people from the chairlift that stopped on Mount Zakhar Berkut in the village of Volosyanka, Lviv region. The evacuation process lasted two hours.
Mountain rescuers completed the operation on Mount Zakhar Berkut, where the chairlift stopped. During the two hours, they managed to evacuate 78 passengers, including 39 children.
76 rescuers and 13 units of special equipment from the State Emergency Service were involved in the rescue operation.
The emergency responders also shared photos and videos of the rescue process.
It should be noted that on December 26, there was an emergency stop of the chairlift on Mount Zakhar Berkut, where about 80 tourists were present. Mountain rescuers promptly began the evacuation of people from a great height.
This incident highlights the importance of the readiness of rescue services for emergencies at resorts. Thanks to the quick and coordinated actions of the rescuers, it was possible to avoid serious consequences for the tourists during the accident. The situation at resorts always requires careful attention and preparedness, as the safety of vacationers is a priority for all services.
