The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence will provide information regarding the plane crash of Azerbaijan Airlines to its partners. He announced this information on the evening of December 28.

Zelensky emphasized that he is fully confident: Russia cannot conceal the full truth about this disaster. Currently, partners involved in the investigation include Azerbaijan, which can be trusted.

The President also stated that Ukraine will provide all necessary assistance, as well as intelligence data, which he instructed to pass on to partners.

Zelensky urged support for Azerbaijan in this case and to exert pressure on Russia to stop spreading falsehoods about this disaster, which is reminiscent of the incident with the downed Boeing MH-17 over Donetsk.

It is reminded that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people regarding the plane crash in Kazakhstan.

The Embraer plane, which was flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed at Aktau airport. On board were 67 passengers and 5 crew members, including 37 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 Russians, 6 Kazakhs, and 3 Kyrgyz.

Rosaviatsiya named the preliminary cause of the crash as bird strikes. It was also reported that an oxygen tank exploded on board the plane, causing some people to begin losing consciousness.

Later, the head of Rosaviatsiya Dmitry Yadrova reported on the plane's accident in Aktau. According to him, one of the main causes of the crash was heavy fog and insufficient visibility at an altitude of 500 meters. The commander of the aircraft attempted to land in Grozny twice but unsuccessfully.

The head of the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation Andriy Kovalenko stated that the cause of the Embraer 190 crash in Kazakhstan was the actions of the Russian surface-to-air missile system (SAM). The aircraft sustained damage due to actions of Russian military personnel and was sent to Kazakhstan instead of an emergency landing in Grozny to save the lives of passengers.
