During the conversation, the president noted Victory Day and thanked Croatian defenders, expressing gratitude for the support and maintaining the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and peace in Ukraine. They also discussed the situation at the front, the increase in Russian attacks, cooperation with partners to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a new tool for procuring weapons from the US.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic to discuss assistance to Ukraine. During the conversation, they agreed on cooperation to support Ukrainian military, as well as the development of strategic partnerships to enhance the country's defense capabilities. It was noted that Croatia is also willing to contribute its share to support Ukrainian defenders, demonstrating solidarity in upholding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
As a result of the conversation, Zelensky and Plenkovic agreed on further steps to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities and prepare for active diplomacy aimed at attracting new resources for the Ukrainian army.
