Zelensky on negotiations with Russia: The USA proposed a new format for meetings.

According to ТСН: The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov will report to President Volodymyr Zelensky today on the results of the dialogue with the United States.

The President spoke about this at a joint briefing with the Prime Minister of Portugal in Kyiv.

He also added that the USA plans to hold separate meetings with Russia and has proposed a new format for negotiations involving Ukraine, the USA, Russia, and possibly Europe.

“Further steps depend on the results of already held contacts between Ukraine and the USA,” he clarified.

Zelensky emphasized that the decisions made this week in Europe are already affecting the peace negotiations. This concerns the 90 billion euros in aid to Ukraine related to frozen Russian assets. This is an unprecedented step that strengthens Ukraine's positions during the negotiations.

Previously, the President noted that European aid to Ukraine directly impacts the front, the economy, and the morale of the military.

“Thanks to this, we have additional trump cards. Russia hoped that we would be weak, at least financially. This, of course, affects the spirit and morale of the soldier who is unsure whether there will be enough drones tomorrow, whether there will be problems with ammunition, or whether there will be enough of everything,” said the head of state.

This high level of international support indicates that Ukraine is receiving the necessary resources to overcome the challenges it faces. The continuation of negotiations between Ukraine, the USA, and Russia could be an important step towards achieving peace in the region and underscores the importance of cooperation between countries under the current conditions.
