Zelensky assessed how the US elections will affect Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to continue cooperation with any popularly elected president of the United States. He informed this to representatives of the Northern European media. Zelensky expressed hope that the US will continue to support Ukraine regardless of the results of the presidential election.
Ukraine will work, as I think the whole world will, with any president elected by the people of the United States. Of course, we hope that US policy will not change, and they will continue to support us. Because when we talk about US policy, it's not just the White House. It's Congress, it's the Senate, it's the bipartisan support we had – it’s many different voices
The President reminded that throughout the entire period of Russian aggression against Ukraine, the US policy remained unchanged. Ukraine had support from both Republicans and Democrats, as well as the broader public in the US, as the American people understand that Ukrainians are fighting for common values of democracy and freedom.
Zelensky noted that he wants to believe that no radical changes will occur. However, it depends on the leader chosen by the people of the United States. In case of reduced support from the USA, Ukraine will rely on itself and the unity of Europe, continuing to strive for victory.
The President earlier reacted to the leak of Ukraine's secret requests to the White House.
