Retaliatory Operation Targets Key Russian Assets

According to Espreso.tv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed a large-scale military operation launched in response to ongoing Russian attacks, involving multiple branches of Ukraine's armed forces. The mission specifically struck infrastructure that supports aggression against Ukrainian civilians, with active participation from the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Special Operations Forces.

Strikes were carried out against military logistics hubs, oil industry facilities, and air defense systems located roughly 300 kilometers from the front lines. President Zelensky stated:

“Targets on both sides of the Crimean Bridge were hit: maritime logistics used for oil transport in the Krasnodar region, and an oil depot in temporarily occupied Kerch.” - Volodymyr Zelensky

During the night of June 21, a coordinated drone assault struck occupied Kerch, igniting a fuel terminal known as TES-Terminal at the seaport. Fires were also reported at the 'Kavkaz' port facility in the Kerch Strait.

President Zelensky further reported:

“We successfully struck enemy military logistics sites, four radar stations that are part of S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, and two Pantsir air defense systems.” - Volodymyr Zelensky

These actions represent a significant step in countering persistent threats from Russian forces.

Escalation of Military Operations

This operation marks an escalation in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, as Kyiv seeks to degrade the enemy's capabilities through deep strikes into occupied territory. It also highlights the growing importance of modern technology, particularly drones, in contemporary warfare.

The significance of these operations extends beyond destroying military assets; they also serve to bolster the morale of Ukrainian troops and civilians amid ongoing aggression.
