Zelensky discussed with Merz the fake Russian strike and negotiations with Trump.

According to ТСН: President Volodymyr Zelensky met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The main topic of discussion was the results of the communication with Donald Trump and the recent provocation by Russia related to the fake "strike" on Putin's bunker.

The head of state shared information on social media, noting:

"Of course, we also discussed today's Russian fake, with which Moscow is trying to disrupt diplomacy and justify the prolongation of the war. Putin needs to get used to the idea that he must end the war, strikes, and bloodshed. Ukraine is doing everything to ensure peace. Russia needs to stop being creative about how to fight and start thinking about how to restore security. Ukraine has made all the proposals"

Zelensky also expressed gratitude to Germany, as well as to all of Europe and the United States for their support on the path to peace.

It is worth recalling that the Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov blamed Ukraine for allegedly attacking Putin's residence in the Novgorod region with drones, referring to the so-called "bunker" of Putin in Valdai. Lavrov warned that because of this, Russia will "reassess its negotiating position".

Zelensky, for his part, confirmed that Lavrov's statement is a lie aimed at sabotaging the negotiations.

This meeting underscores Ukraine's active diplomatic efforts to garner international support amid the ongoing conflict with Russia.
