Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to 19 more defenders.

To the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine" to 19 more military personnel. Ten of them — posthumously. The relevant decrees are published on the head of state's website.

Zelensky awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine" with the presentation of the "Golden Star" order:

soldier Demchyk Andrii Volodymyrovych (posthumously);

junior sergeant Bombel Vladyslav Oleksandrovych (posthumously);

senior lieutenant Badyka Denys Mykhailovych (posthumously);

soldier Bahniuk Serhii Kalenykovych (posthumously);

lieutenant Tsymbal Bohdan Oleksandrovych;

junior sergeant Orlo Tymofii Romanovych;

colonel Voloshyn Dmytro Serhiiovych;

junior sergeant Zamotskyi Ihor Vadymovych (posthumously);

major Pilshchykov Andrii Borysovych (posthumously);

soldier Svisch Oleksandr Oleksandrovych (posthumously);

soldier Stankus Artur Albertasovych (posthumously);

lieutenant colonel Tymus Yurii Volodymyrovych (posthumously);

senior soldier Kharchenko Vitalii Olehovych (posthumously);

sergeant Krokovets Oleksandr Volodymyrovych;

lieutenant colonel Manko Valentyn Mykolaiovych;

Recall that since October 1, Ukrainians have celebrated the Day of Defenders of Ukraine for the second year in a row. For Ukrainians, this day is an opportunity to honor the warriors who defend the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. On the Day of Defenders, it is customary to remember not only the heroes of today who daily protect the borders of our state from the aggressor country but also the veterans of World War II, our Cossack ancestors who fought for independence.

As reported, today at 9:00 am in Kyiv, traffic of cars and pedestrians stopped, people stood to honor the memory of the fallen Heroes.

By the way, "Ukrposhta" officially launched a charitable postage stamp "Under the Protection of the Mother of God" dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.
