Zelensky appointed a new head of Odesa: what is known about Serhiy Lysak.
According to inkorr.com: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Serhiy Lysak as the head of the Odesa City Military Administration. This decision was made based on the decree of the head of state and concerns the Odesa district of the Odesa region.
New responsibilities
The duties of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration were temporarily transferred to Vladyslav Haivanenko. Serhiy Lysak commented on his new appointment and the end of his work in Dnipro, thanking the president and his colleagues.
“Today I am finishing my work as the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA. We have faced significant challenges every day. My team has always adhered to clear priorities,” Lysak stated.
Challenges in the new position
Serhiy Lysak's appointment to the new position in the Odesa City Military Administration was in response to a petition from residents submitted in September 2025, which received support from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The new head of the Odesa City Military Administration must overcome numerous challenges and tasks related to improving security and organizing military affairs in the region.
This appointment indicates the authorities' responsiveness to citizens' needs and promotes changes in regional management. In the face of modern challenges, it is crucial that new leaders quickly adapt and effectively respond to existing problems.
