Zelensky commented on the missile strike on Odesa and the Staff meeting.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated about the missile strike that occurred in the city of Odesa and expressed the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense. He mentioned this in his evening address on January 31.
Currently, in the South of our country - in Odesa - works are ongoing after missile strikes from Russia. Mostly these are ballistic missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the city,' said the President.
Zelensky also noted that today there was a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, where issues of arms supply were discussed. He emphasized the necessity to accelerate the supply of weapons and systems that will help save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
The President stressed that the Ukrainian industry is ready to support domestic weapons production, and European countries are ready to invest in this sector. Zelensky also instructed diplomats to work on increasing defense sector funding from international partners.
In his address, the President reported on the preparation of new support and brigade staffing formats, the details of which will be presented to the public next week.
In addition, today Volodymyr Zelensky awarded 30 servicemen with state awards - 'Stars' of Heroes of Ukraine and 'Crosses of Military Merit'.
