Zelensky Held a Meeting on Defense Forces' Weapon Supply.
Supplying the Defense Forces with Weapons and Equipment: Priorities for the Next Year
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting on the supply of weapons and military equipment to the Defense Forces. He reported this on his social media on October 8, 2024.
The meeting reviewed the army's needs until the end of this year and the next. Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported on the need for procurement, aid from allies, and domestic production. Participants discussed ways to meet these needs.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Vice Prime Minister for Innovations Mykhailo Fedorov, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
Priorities for the domestic defense-industrial complex for the next year were identified. The main focus will be on the production of missiles, drones, and ammunition. It is also planned to attract investments from Ukraine's partners.
