Zelensky: Putin will die soon, this is a fact, and the war will end.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in his interview for Eurovision News that he predicts the death of Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the near future, which will lead to the end of the war.
'It depends on his age. He will leave us soon, that is a fact, and everything will end. He may not reach the end of his unsuccessful historical life. He is afraid to be alone with himself. Putin could not fully detach himself from politics,' Zelensky said.
According to the president, the Russian leader is afraid to lose power due to two factors: destabilization in Russia and his old age. 'I am younger than Putin. Choose me, as I have a better prospect,' Zelensky added.
Commented on the shelling and called not to ease pressure on Russia
The president also commented on the new shelling from Russia on March 26. 'Ordinary Ukrainian cities: Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro. Ordinary life and Russian strikes that should not happen. In Ukraine, every day there are large-scale drone attacks, most of which are lethal. Russia has trained Iran to produce such drones,' Zelensky emphasized.
In Kharkiv, as a result of the shelling, houses were damaged, 8 people were injured, including a 12-year-old girl. 'No country should go through this,' the president emphasized.
Zelensky called for not easing pressure on Russia. 'Against the backdrop of such events, it is inappropriate to talk about easing pressure on Russia, lifting sanctions, and the like. Russia kills every day and continues the war,' he stated.
The president reminded that the American proposal for a ceasefire has been under consideration for half a month. 'Pressure on Russia is needed to save lives and expedite diplomatic processes. Without pressure on Russia, there will be no results,' Zelensky concluded.
