U.S. Negotiations and Frontline Successes
According to Novyny.live: On March 20, 2023, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with journalists, sharing his expectations for the upcoming negotiations in the United States scheduled for March 21, 2023. The President emphasized that a key focus of these talks will be
“specific criteria for future trilateral discussions”.
During the conversation, Zelenskyy also highlighted the achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the battlefield, reporting that
“the AFU disrupted the Russian offensive planned for this spring”. This underscores the active defensive operations of Ukrainian troops as they continue to counter aggression.
Collaboration and Financial Support
Regarding Ukrainian personnel, 228 Ukrainian professionals are currently stationed in the Middle East. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that
“Ukraine operates in Russia via Telegram and will also work through Max”, pointing to new communication channels and opportunities for maintaining cooperation.
The President also addressed collaboration with international partners in defense technology. He stated that Ukraine is manufacturing drones in partnership with the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands, strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
Financial support for Ukraine was another topic of discussion. The first tranche of a €90 billion loan from the European Union is scheduled for April 2026. Zelenskyy stressed that
“partners must find a resolution to this incident”and that
“the EU will not lift restrictions following the U.S.”, highlighting the need for stability and continued backing from international allies.
