U.S. President Donald Trump called the Ukrainian leader immediately after the visit of U.S. representative Stephen Vitkoff to Moscow. European representatives also participated in this phone conversation.

Details of the conversation between Zelensky and Trump
'Our joint position with our partners is absolutely clear: the war must end. And it must be an honest ending. European leaders also participated in the conversation, and I am grateful to each of them for their support. We discussed what was announced in Moscow', - noted the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine will definitely defend its independence.
'We all need a long-lasting and reliable peace. Russia must end the war it started itself. Thank you to everyone who supports Ukraine', - added the head of the Ukrainian state.
Recall that today, August 6, Trump announced a successful meeting of his special envoy Steve Vitkoff with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
After that, it became known that despite the successful negotiations between Putin and Vitkoff, the White House announced sanctions against Russia.
Also, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated an important step that the U.S. plans to take after the conversation with Vitkoff.
