Norway to Increase Aid to Ukraine to $7.7 Billion for 2025

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to Norway for increasing the amount of aid for Ukraine for 2025. The amount of aid will rise from $3.2 billion to $7.7 billion. According to Zelensky, this funding will be used for weapons production in Ukraine and enhancing the country's energy security.

I had a phone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. I thanked him for today's unanimous decision by the Norwegian parliament to increase aid to Ukraine this year from $3.2 to $7.7 billion.

Zelensky noted that this decision is timely and should serve as an example for other partners. He also emphasized that this increase in aid will make Ukraine's negotiating positions on the path to peace even stronger.

The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Norway for its contribution to peace and stability in Europe.

Meeting with the King of Belgium and EU Summit

On March 6, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with King Philippe of Belgium after the summit of European countries in Brussels. Zelensky thanked the King of the Belgians for the audience and discussed Belgium's involvement in preparing the first steps towards ending the war.

President Volodymyr Zelensky also participated in an emergency EU summit in Brussels. During the meeting of heads of state and government of EU countries, ways to enhance European defense capabilities and provide aid to Ukraine were discussed, particularly in the context of statements and actions by the USA regarding reducing their role in supporting European security and military assistance to Ukraine.

Meeting with European Union Representatives

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Council Charles Michel in Brussels. The main topic of discussion was strengthening the defense capabilities of Ukraine and Europe.
