Zelensky: Russia is preparing for new strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia plans to carry out new attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. He received this information from Ukrainian special services and intelligence. Zelensky warned that these attacks could occur before and after Easter. The President emphasized that Ukraine will continue to defend its country and energy.
Ukraine successfully passed another winter without blackouts
Zelensky also noted that Ukraine managed to cope with the third winter of full-scale war without power outages, despite threats and attacks. He noted that this is an important achievement for the entire Ukrainian people.
The President stressed that the protection of the energy system is provided not only by military and air defense systems but also by energy sector workers. They restore damaged facilities, repair and build new ones to protect power plants and networks. Zelensky thanked hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians who helped preserve the country's energy.
The President also awarded state honors to energy sector workers during a meeting with them.
