Zelensky invited Navrotsky: named the conditions for a meeting with the President of Poland.
According to ТСН: Volodymyr Zelensky discussed a possible meeting with the President of Poland Karol Navrotsky.
This information was announced by the Ukrainian leader to journalists during his visit to London, where negotiations took place with European leaders.
Zelensky's comments on the meeting
Zelensky commented on the statements of Polish colleagues and noted that Poland always participates in the meetings of the 'coalition of the willing'.
“In the second part of today’s meeting, we had an online meeting with the leaders, Poland was present. By the way, the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorsky, was there. Poland is always present during the meeting with the leaders of the 'coalition of the willing': either it is present offline, or online. Usually, it is the Prime Minister of Poland, because he has always been part of the coalition of the willing. As for the President of Poland, I would be happy to meet him. I mentioned this on the phone, I invited him and said: 'Please choose a date',” Zelensky explained.
The President also expressed Ukraine's readiness to cooperate with Poland.
“We respect Poland, we are grateful to Poland for sheltering our people, helping, supporting. And we are always open. We have many different dates, choose any date. I would be happy to meet with the President of Poland - Mr. Navrotsky,” Zelensky said.
Agenda of the upcoming meeting
Zelensky also detailed the possible date of his visit.
“The President of Poland, for his part... Recently, I heard a signal that he invited me. Probably, for me to come, I need a date. And then, if the President officially or not, as he wishes, also suggests a date, of course, I will come on an official visit to Poland, for me it is important,” Zelensky said.
Recall that earlier, the Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorsky mentioned that Karol Navrotsky does not plan a visit to Ukraine. He noted that the demands from Ukraine during the war may seem inappropriate, but Zelensky could invite the President of Poland to Warsaw.
This potential meeting between the two leaders reflects the ongoing cooperation between Ukraine and Poland, especially amid current challenges. The mutual understanding and support of both countries can be crucial for strengthening regional security and stability.
