Zelensky and Starmer discussed increasing the production of Ukrainian drones.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, during a meeting in Kyiv, examined samples of Ukrainian bomber drones and reconnaissance UAVs.
Our goal is to produce a record number of drones,' emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky during the demonstration of the drones.
The event was attended by Ukraine's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva, Strategic Advisor Oleksandr Kamyshin, and Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
Keir Starmer confirmed further support for Ukraine, particularly in providing capabilities 'that will come in handy on the front, that will save the lives of Ukrainians and strengthen the ability to resist aggression.' The British Prime Minister also noted Ukraine's progress in defense industry.
Among the showcased samples of Ukrainian weapons were bomber drones and reconnaissance UAVs, some of which used British technologies.
During Starmer's visit to Kyiv, an agreement on a 100-year partnership between the countries was also signed.
It is worth noting that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, is negotiating with French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the possibility of sending a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine after a potential ceasefire agreement.
As reported, Keir Starmer signed a historic 100-year partnership agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on January 16, 2025, in Kyiv.
It should be added that the United Kingdom has already allocated 3 billion pounds for military assistance to Ukraine this year and will provide an additional 2.2 billion.
