Zelensky at the UN Security Council: Russia must be forced to peace.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the UN Security Council meeting, stating the need to force Russia to peace.
"Russia can only be forced to peace, and this is exactly what needs to be done - to force Russia to peace as the sole aggressor in this war and the sole violator of the UN Charter," Zelensky emphasized in English.
The Ukrainian leader also condemned Iran and North Korea as "allies" of Russia. Zelensky noted that the Russian dictator violated numerous norms and rules and will not stop on his own.
The President warned of possible attacks by Russian occupiers on Ukrainian nuclear power plants this fall. "They are ready to target our nuclear power plants, three NPPs. We have such information and evidence," Zelensky stated.
He added that with the approach of winter, Russia is once again trying to destroy Ukraine's energy system, demonstrating even greater cynicism. "If Russia is ready to go so far, it means that your values do not matter to Moscow," the President of Ukraine stressed.
