Zelensky on Russia's missile strikes and the visit of Ireland

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky delivered his daily address to the nation on September 4, 2024, the 924th day of the full-scale war. He spoke about the consequences of Russian missile strikes, the visit of the Irish Prime Minister, and the successes of the Ukrainian army.

Zelensky reported the completion of rescue operations in Lviv and Kryvyi Rih, where civilian objects were affected due to Russian missile strikes. Unfortunately, seven people died in Lviv. The President expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

The Head of State thanked world leaders, political figures, and journalists for their support of Ukraine and condemnation of Russian terror. He emphasized the importance of truthfully covering the war.

Today, Ukraine was visited by the Prime Minister of Ireland, who visited not only Kyiv but also Hostomel and Borodyanka. As a result of the visit, a bilateral security agreement was signed - the 26th for Ukraine. Despite Ireland's military neutrality, the countries agreed on active cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian fields.

The President also reported on the successes of the Ukrainian army, particularly the operation in the Kursk region, which, according to him, "continues to be the largest replenishment of the exchange fund thanks to one direction." He also touched upon the situation in Donbas.

Zelensky reported the evacuation of 25 Ukrainians (11 children and 14 adults) from Lebanon and assured that diplomats and intelligence services would continue to assist Ukrainian citizens in the Middle East.

In conclusion, the President announced important meetings with partners in September that should strengthen the positions of Ukraine and its allies. Special attention will be given to air defense issues, front-line opportunities, and the country's recovery.
