Zelensky rejected the 'freezing' of the war and commented on the successful long-range strike on Russia.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation on September 18, 2024, on the 938th day of the war. He expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers for successful operations in Russia and highlighted key points of the defense strategy.
"I want to thank our warriors who ensure our strength far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Yesterday's events in Russia are important; such things weaken the enemy," Zelensky noted.
The President highly praised the work of special services, in particular the SBU, GUR, and Special Operations Forces.
Zelensky also reported on two reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first concerned the overall situation on the front, and the second - changes in the Kursk region and the reaction of Ukrainian units to these changes.
Zelensky emphasized that special attention is being paid to the directions in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, as well as on the entire eastern front, including Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and Kurakhove. He noted that work is being done to strengthen weapons and personnel.
Victory Plan
An important announcement was the completion of the preparation of the 'Victory Plan.' "Today we can say that our Victory Plan is fully ready - all points, key accents, and details have been worked out. Now the most important thing is the determination to implement it," Zelensky emphasized.
The President stressed the need for reliable and long-term security for Ukraine and the European continent and rejected any compromises with the aggressor. "There is no and cannot be an alternative to peace; there is no possibility of freezing the war or transferring Russian aggression to another stage," he stated.
