There is no threat of a Russian military offensive on the city of Sumy - Zelensky
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the 'Ramstein' format stated that at the moment there is no threat of a Russian military offensive on the city of Sumy. He also emphasized that this was achieved thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian military.
'Thanks to our actions, there is currently no threat that Russia will start a new offensive on our territory against the city of Sumy, as it was in May, when Putin started the offensive against our city of Kharkiv,' said the leader of Ukraine.
Zelensky also noted that the situation in the war is changing. He mentioned that on this day, September 6, it has been a month since the beginning of the offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. During this time, Russia has lost approximately six thousand soldiers, and Ukraine has managed to take control of more than one hundred settlements in the Kursk region and establish a military commandant's office.
Earlier, Lloyd Austin promised long-term support to Ukraine before the meeting in the 'Ramstein' format.
