Proposal to cease fire
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacted on Thursday, July 24, to the night Russian attack on cities. According to him, during negotiations in Istanbul, the Ukrainian side proposed an immediate ceasefire to the Russians.
This was reported by the Ukrainian leader on Telegram.
'Yesterday at the meeting in Istanbul, the Russian side was again presented with the proposal to immediately and completely cease fire,' the president noted.
Attack on Ukraine
In response, the Russians struck residential buildings and the 'Privoz' market in Odesa, high-rise buildings in Cherkasy, energy infrastructure in Kharkiv region, a university gymnasium in Zaporizhia, and various areas in Donetsk, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions.
In total, during the night, the enemy attacked with 103 strike drones and four missiles. Unfortunately, in the Kharkiv region, three people were killed, and at least ten others were injured, among them a nine-year-old child in Cherkasy.
Zelensky emphasized that the Russians do not stop their terror and are also blocking diplomacy, so it is necessary to respond with large-scale sanctions and strikes on Russian logistics and military production.
'We will do everything to make diplomacy work. But it is Russia that must stop this war, which it started itself,' he added.
During the meeting in Istanbul, the President of Ukraine proposed an immediate ceasefire from the Russian side following the night attacks on Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles. As a result of these attacks, several people were injured and killed, and Zelensky called for a response to Russia's aggression through sanctions and strikes on Russian logistics and military production.Read also
