President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that there are currently no plans to lower the mobilization age to 18 years. He emphasized that it is dangerous, but young people have the opportunity to enlist in military service under contract until they reach the age of 25.

"Partners would like us to have a reduced age. We do not yet see why to introduce these changes. It is dangerous. For this, we have a tool - the Ministry of Defense has contracts. At their will, fighters can go, even at the age of 18. So far, that's it... There are no plans for mobilization from 18 years today," Zelensky explained.

The president also mentioned economic reservation and noted that the government has not yet provided fair proposals on this matter. He stressed that this is the task of the Ministry of Economy and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and it must be fair.

"It is difficult to choose one profession but not choose another. Different criteria should be," Zelensky said, indicating the difficulty in choosing criteria for economic reservation. He also noted that there is already a reservation for critical infrastructure and professions necessary for the functioning of the army.

"This is a very difficult issue. I think that it (economic reservation) has not been introduced yet precisely because of this, because finding this balance is difficult. The military is afraid because they believe there will be not enough new forces. Business has a different attitude - if this is going to happen, then what are the criteria," the president summarized.

Zelensky also announced regular military assistance from the USA.
