In Response to Russian Attack, Zelenskyy Orders Overhaul of Negotiators and Defense Ministry.
Negotiating Team to Undergo Restructuring
According to Novyny.live: Following a massive assault by the Russian Federation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a restructuring of Ukraine's negotiating team and issued new directives for the Ministry of Defense and the diplomatic corps. The Ukrainian leader stated that the negotiators will now operate differently in light of recent events. This move signals a strategic pivot as the war enters a critical phase.
Key Priorities for the Next Round of Talks
On February 2, Zelenskyy outlined the main priorities for the second stage of negotiations in Abu Dhabi. He stressed the vital importance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs's external work in mobilizing support for Ukraine amid escalating aggression from Moscow.
“I expect active steps from the diplomatic corps,” he added.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian President announced new tasks for the Ministry of Defense and the Air Force Command, emphasizing the urgent need for changes in their operations.
“Each such strike only confirms the unchanging position of Moscow,” Zelenskyy noted, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
These measures indicate that Ukraine's leadership is seeking to adapt its strategy in response to the escalating conflict with Russia. By focusing efforts on strengthening diplomatic ties and defense capabilities, Ukraine aims to secure greater support from international partners during this challenging period. The international community is closely watching these adjustments, which come amid heightened global concern over the war's trajectory.
