Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Meloni: topics of negotiations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to discuss protecting Ukrainian cities from Russian strikes and building the country's air shield. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Italy for supporting Ukraine's air defense. Economic development and cooperation with other countries were also discussed.
Furthermore, the president held talks with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius regarding military assistance and support for arms production in Ukraine. The meeting with Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin focused on discussing the situation at the front and the role of drones in combat operations.
A meeting was also held with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, where the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense and the possibility of NATO countries purchasing Ukrainian weapons were discussed.
Recently, Giorgia Meloni also met with newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump, which gives hope for support for Ukraine in Europe and mediation in European-American relations. President Zelensky expressed his stance on security guarantees and initiatives from Western partners for Ukraine.
