- Subscription to newspapers or magazines;
- Charitable donations.
Social Assistance and Its Importance
For context, the standard state-provided social assistance is set at 4,500 hryvnias. This base amount is calculated based on household composition as follows:
- 100% for the first household member;
- 100% for each child under 18;
- 100% for individuals with first or second category disabilities;
- 70% for each additional adult.
The 'Winter Support' program aims to alleviate financial pressure on Ukrainians by providing funds for essential expenses. This initiative is part of broader government efforts to support vulnerable groups during a period of economic strain. The extension of the spending deadline demonstrates a commitment to ensuring aid reaches those who need it most. As such, the program serves as a crucial tool in mitigating poverty and social inequality in the country.
